Public Lawyer Referral Services in Middlesex County, MA
Residents of Middlesex County can request a lawyer referral from a number of public organizations. All referrals offered by these public organizations are free. However, many of these organizations are selective and don�t offer referrals for every case or client.
The Massachusetts Attorney General�s Office gives attorney referrals to Middlesex County�s senior citizens through its Elder Hotline. People can only receive a referral for an attorney if they call the Elder Hotline between the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. during the work week. Senior citizens can obtain referrals from the Elder Hotline for a wide range of civil legal topics, such as telemarketing, healthcare insurance, and landlord/tenant issues.
The Boston Bar Association provides a lawyer referral service for the residents of the greater Boston metropolitan region, including residents of parts of Middlesex County. One can obtain a referral for a local attorney by either filling out a form on the Boston Bar Association�s website or by calling its hotline during specified hours. The Boston Bar Association does provide referrals for reduced legal services, but people requesting such referrals must be able to prove low-income status.
The Massachusetts Bar Association runs a lawyer referral program that Middlesex County residents can use. The only way that one can procure a referral for an attorney from the Massachusetts Bar Association is by calling the association�s lawyer referral service hotline. One can obtain as many referrals as they want from the Massachusetts Bar Association for free.

Although the Mental Health Legal Advisors Committee will provide a referral for a lawyer to anyone who needs one in Massachusetts, the majority of referrals that the Mental Health Legal Advisors Committee offers are to minors and to low-income residents. The Mental Health Legal Advisors Committee predominantly offers lawyer referrals for legal matters concerning discrimination and disability insurance.
The Middlesex County Bar Association offers an attorney referral service to people living in Middlesex County. In order to obtain one referral for a lawyer, a person must fill out an online form, call the Middlesex County Bar Association, or email the association. People can get additional lawyer referrals from the Middlesex County Bar Association, but they must email or call the association directly.
